Gate 5: Manning Road
Sports centre opens from 8 am to 10 pm
The Indoor Sport centre compromises of the following codes of Sports,
- Indoor volleyball courts x 2 – main arena
- Indoor basketball courts x 2 – main arena
- Netball x 1 x court – main arena
- Indoor hockey x 1 court- main arena
- Badminton courts x 6- main arena
- Table tennis facilities – upper hall
- Crickey practice nets – upper hall
- Karate/Taekwondo/boxing – lower hall
- Bouldering and lead wall climbing facilities
- Outdoor wall climbing
- Warm up gymnasium- upper hall
- Kiosk – lower floor
- Ablutions: men’s and ladies’ sauna (electric) 6 men’s and 6 ladies changerooms with toilets
The venue is suitable for leagues, training, tournaments and sporting events
Gate 9 also includes
- x 2 outdoor netball courts lights – with ablutions (8 am until 10 pm )
- x 4 squash courts (2 walls backs and x 2 glass backs) used for leagues, tournaments and recreationally- with ablutions (8 am to 21h30)
Gate 9: Howard College Sports Centre - Rick Tuner Road
- Ground v4 – cricket oval – with ablutions ( 8 am to 5pm )
- Ground v5 – soccer (8 am to 5pm in summer 8 am to 5pm winter)
- Ground v6/v7 – soccer and also includes a synthetic cricket pitch – 8 am to 5pm in summer 8 am to 5pm winter
- Ground v8/v9 – soccer – currently closed
- Ground v5 v6 v7 v8 v9, may also be used for other sporting codes, netball, volleyball and indigenous games.
- Stadium – main field(used for semi-finals and finals soccer matches only and an athletics grass track)with ablutions. Main field also has floodlights which meets Supersport requirements for broadcasting live games (800-100 lux). Includes a grandstand which seats between 450-560 people. 8 am to 22h00
- Cross country route with nature trail – 3km and 5km routes :7 am to 5pm
- Tennis courts x 4 – with floodlights : 8 am to 19h00
- Designated braai area with a thatch roof and plug points: 8 am to 22h00
Gate 10: Rick Turner Road
- Hammond field cricket oval with ablutions :8 am to 5pm
- Squash courts x 6 – used for leagues, tournament and recreationally.8 am to 22h00
- Swimming pool x 8 lanes (25 x 25 m) deep end designed for scuba diving courses. Also uses for recreational swimming, galas and learn to swim programmes. Also includes a grandstand which seats between 250-350 people 12h00-19h00 in summer and 11h00-18h00 in winter
- Underwater clubhouse: 8 am to 5pm
- Social clubhouse: includes a bar. Can accommodate approximately 70-90 guests. Venue also used for workshops and meetings: 8am to 22h00
- Ground v2 v3 – Rugby fields, also includes grand stands which seat approximately 500 people. Field also includes floodlights with 600-800 lux for tv coverage. Also includes changerooms and toilets and including a referees changeroom.8 am to 22h00
- Ground v1 – soccer with flood lights 8 am to 22h00
- Gate 5 also includes a central changeroom facility for all codes with ablutions.
